“HITTIN’  IT FAT”

After a long winter of pigging out on such marvels as delicious poutine with bacon gravy, mounds of lobster mac n’ cheese and turkey with extra dressing, I’m bound to “hit it fat” this golfing season.

Perhaps Al, the Pro at Western Trent, will have some suggestions, centering on, standing a bit further away from the ball, choking down on the club or moving the ball a bit further back in my stance. Yes, all this should help me from taking a divot, 8″ in front of the ball i. e. ‘hitting it fat’. But what about the other ‘fat’ of hitting it fat.

This year, will I be able to limit myself to just one peameal on a bun (cheese? yes please) with only two Ceasars at the turn. It’s a delicate ballance…maintaining enough belly to enhance the pendilum effect for chipping onto the green but not too much belly that I loose sight of the ball when putting. 

“Hitting it fat” yup, it’s inevitable, just how fat is my game going to be this year, is the question. Oh, and Shawna, may I have a cookie before I tee off?
